Crisp, juicy, easy to slip into a bag… the apple has it all. Since childhood, we've been told it's the number one ally for well-being, to the point that we sometimes consume it without restraint. Yet, even the most virtuous foods deserve a bit of nuance. Because yes, eating apples is an excellent habit… provided you don't overdo it. And some unexpected effects might surprise more than one apple lover.
When too many apples disrupt the body's balance
It's often forgotten, but apples naturally contain sugars. Nothing comparable to ultra-processed foods, of course, but in large quantities, it can disrupt your daily balance. Beyond four or five apples a day, some people may experience a drop in energy, a feeling of heaviness, or even paradoxical cravings. The idea isn't to demonize this fruit, but to remind everyone that it's part of a balanced diet.
